Orchestra Residency 2026

Poland’s Penderecki Centre, one of Europe’s state-of-the-art cultural venues, hosts the OAcademy residency in Summer 2026.

The 2026 Orchestra residency is the culmination of the Global Artist Diploma: a week that brings together emerging musicians from across the globe for music-making, cultural exchange, and shared artistic growth. Under the artistic leadership of Maestro Carlos Miguel Prieto, the program sets the European symphonic tradition in dialogue with contemporary voices from the Americas and Poland - honouring both the continuity of the orchestral canon and the innovation defining today's practice.

Repertoire

Krzysztof Penderecki – Chaconne in memoria del Giovanni Paolo II
Johannes Brahms – Symphony no. 3
Silvestre Revueltas – La noche de los mayas
Gabriela Ortiz – Antrópolis

Set in the Polish countryside of Lusławice, the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music carries forward the vision of its founder: to inspire the most talented young musicians toward full artistic maturity. One of Europe's most advanced cultural venues, it hosts masterclasses, festivals, and its own resident ensemble - a fitting home for the 2026 residency, where fellows live, rehearse, and perform together.
